Wu Shenhui, born in Zhongshan, Guangdong, attended high school and college in Wuhan Sports Institute. He was trained photography in Xinhua News Agency in 1965, and then assigned to the Air Force commune of Xinhua News Agency. He joined the capital the Press Institute in 1980, and in Chinese Photographic Society in 1981. He wins many titles, as associate editor of Xinhua News Agency of People¡¯s Liberation Army, editorial director of military photography, executive director of the Photographic Society of China News, expert journalist, and enjoys the title of Senior Colonel. In his 35-year military career, he visited many barracks from Manchuria to the Paracel Islands, from the Changshan Island to the navigation station of Hongqilapu, shooting a lot of spectacular and sensational news pictures. Among them, more than 10,000 were used in domestic and international newspapers, hundreds of which won awards at home and abroad, and he also won the second prize of China Journalists.
